WEBSITE EDITING
I have posted the third and fourth pieces of my major project on my work along with the first and second I posted previously.
I have also posted the fifth, sixth and last of my major project final pieces on the website and have published it.
They all contain a brief description and date as well.
Website editing
The first two final peices of my major project have been uploaded to my website and i have done some editing as well to my site. I changed the project display layout because my works were being showcased in tiny images.
I added description to the images, with date and title on the images. At the top of the pictures I added the title of the project.
Feedback on tools used for major project
I have completed all the final pieces for my major project, all that is left for me to do is to upload them on my website
Tools used for my major project
I used basically the same tools in the making of every final piece because they all portrayed the same way.
I first uploaded the image of the drawings on Photoshop then I used the lasso tool to cut out the outline of the drawing of the figures, duplicated them and moved the duplicate to a plain white background. I used the lasso tool to outline parts of the drawings that I wanted to repeat then I duplicated the outlined part, repositioned it and reduced the opacity.
For some of the final pieces I gave them a moving blur effect by selecting the figure, going to the menu bar, selecting filter and clicking on blur. For others I just made (a) duplicate(s) of the figure itself, reduced the opacity and repositioned it to the left or/and right of the main figure to give it a moving blur effect.
After I was done with everything I merged all the layers together to form one picture then edited the image by clicking on 'image' on the menu bar and increasing/decreasing the contrast and brightness then I used the bucket fill tool to change the color of the background from white to black. I believed that a dark background will accentuate the figure more than a white one.
TOOLS: Lasso tool
Move tool
bucket fill tool
zoom tool

MAJOR PROJECT (BEGINNING)
In order for me to start my major project I had to learn some certain skills on Photoshop that will help me create my final pieces. My idea was to combine multiple images of the figure in different dancing positions together to show movement.
I used the fill tool to make the background black. I used the lasso tool to cut out the man from the background of the first picture and used the magic tool to select the image of man and send it to the black background. I did the same for two more pictures. I later on used the move tool to position the cut out images where I wanted them and by using the move tool as well I clicked on each image and went to the opacity control on the left panel to blur the other pictures.
This is the final piece. This what I hope to do the drawings of dancing figures and this is what my final pieces will look like (much more better than this I hope).
FURTHER RESEARCH (MAJOR PROJECT)
During my presentation of my blog and website my classmate, Binazir, gave me a brilliant idea to add to my project. Her idea was for my portrait to portray dances of different cultures and styles with each of them wearing dressed in the traditional attire used for the dance.
I did some research on different dances of different culture also on the attires worn during the performance of the dances. This idea will give me much more to work on but it will also improve on my final pieces.
The theme of my major project is still movements through dances and it will focus mostly on expressive dances but with a little culture attached to it.

WEBSITE EDITING
WEBSITE EDITING
I did some editing on my blog today, I added social media links that can be used by people who view my blog and would like to reach out to me through social media. As we all know social media are the best ways to connect with each other.
I added three suitable social media links, not social media like instagram and twitter that are not educative or suitable for an educative website.

Feedback on major project presentations (day 1)
JONG:
His presentation of his major project idea was interesting. He has done some research and appplied what he research to his major project idea and what is later going to be his final peice.
BINA:
Her presentation was good as well. She has also done some research relatong to her major project idea and has already started her major project although has not made any final peice she has some pictures that she plans on making her final peice.
JUSTYNA:
Has done research to acquire inspiration for her major idea, she research on patterns, factory architecture and artsists that do pattern designs. She has started her major project design and has more than two final peices already which is a good start. Process of final piece creation is shown on her blog.
Website is not yet finished and still needs more editing so she can post her final peices.
Blog buddy
I got a blog buddy from my class. Her name is Favour Anthony, she going to study fine arts as well and is currently.
A blog buddy, to my understanding, is basically someone who checks up on your blog to see how much you have improved and how much needs to improved, a blog buddy gives you advices via comments about your blog and is meant to be available to help you with anything concerning your blog.

Change in major project idea
There has been a slight change in my major project plan due to some drawbacks. My initial plan of drawing a life nude model has now been altered. My new plan is to do more research, look at more photos of dancers and use my reasearch to make some sketches of my own.
After doing my research on human movements and making my sketches I will use a photo edit software to reproduce 5 copies of the figure I sketch and join all the images together to form a sequential picture so the figure appears to be moving.

Research of artists related to my major plan idea
I did a research on artists whose works are related to my major plan idea which is sequential body movement under figure drawing. It looks at the body in different dance like positions and also in a sequence to show movement and motion which the body is making
I'm still doing more research but for now I have found one artist whose works I really find interesting. She looks at body movements, although not in dance like positions, her works still depict movement.
She uses quick lines and dashes to show movement happening and often in some places she draws part of the body of the human in a different position but connected to the main body and blurred. The models in the drawing are nude so the actual shape of the body while moving and the effect of light and shadows/darkness can be depicted exactly the way it is and not influenced by clothing. It shows the human body bare, natural and original, the way we were actually made.
Research on fine artists websites
Today I did research on fine artists websites and I saw some interesting websites that I got inspiration from. The designs and templates they used were magnificent and easy to navigate. I liked the fact that the homepage contained examples of their works so even before reading the area of fine art it mainly focuses on you would know immediately from the pictures on the homepage. Most of them also have a gallery where they upload their major works and projects, some for commercial purposes others for advertisement purposes. The template they used inspired my decision in choosing a template for my website.
Samantha Payne, she takes pictures of people and tries to paint them almost the same color as the original which is a magnificent idea.Rebecca Miller, she's an art illustrator, she illustrates emotions through creative cartoonish designs.
Some of the websites show their CVs, sketches and finished works, contact and their portfolio.
And some like this one show the process of finishing the artworks in a video which is more interesting and different from other fine artists blogs.
And this is my website, as you can see I adopted their idea of having my works posted on my homepage and also having a gallery to showcase my projects and works. In this type of template there's a lot of pictures to post up that are meant to be your works which captivates the viewer and makes him/her want to move around your website more.
I haven't posted any of my works on the website yet as I am yet to start my major project, so the works displayed here are just random artworks and not mine.

CREATION OF ADVERTISEMENT POSTER
Today I worked on a project. Creating an advertisement poster for a product.
First I did some research on camera adverts to get some ideas and inspiration to use for advertisement poster.
Then I chose a picture I took with a canon camera and used a oftware called pixlr to give some effects to it and edit somethings. I blurred the back ground and increased the yellow hue. I increased the brightness and sharpness.
The image at the top is a research I did on other canon camera adverts. I got some ideas from there as well and decided to keep the finish product of my advertisement poster simple.
Then I used another software called canva to create the poster and add some other designs and make a template. I browsed for a canon logo to put on the poster(they were a lot!).
This was my initial idea. I did a quick sketch of what I had in mind. And I wanted everything to be yellow for some unknown reason.
This is the final piece of the advertisement poster creation. I put in the canon logo (in yellow) at the top right, the main picture as the background and typed a saying I made up as the advertisement quote with a % off deal at the bottom because everyone likes a good deal.
